Jack Harrington, 95 the eldest son of 5, was born in Prosser, WA to Frank & Amy Harrington.

Jack Harrington, 95 the eldest son of 5, was born in Prosser, WA to Frank & Amy Harrington. He was raised, schooled & married to Ann Irene Snow in Bellingham, WA. He & Ann, with their daughter, moved to Wenatchee where they became regional Distributors for the P.I. newspaper for several years before owning the Wenatchee News Agency. Also spent three years in the US Army during World War II. Jack & Ann sold the business & spent a year building their cabin on Lake Chelan.

He became Civil Defense Director for Chelan & Douglas Counties & all those cities until his retirement in 1977. The next few years the Harrington’s spent their time between Lake Chelan & winter home in Yuma, AZ, finally in the late 80’s moved to Moses Lake to be closer to family.

Jack loved to fish & hunt, had a horse & was active with Applalachee Horse Club & a member of the Chelan Co. Sheriffs Posse. Also a active member of Wenatchee’s Lions Club, Elks & American Legion.

Survivors include his daughter Nelda Stierlen & her husband Marvin; his two granddaughters Phyllis PuFahl & her husband Ron of Moses Lake, Patrice Elston of Ottawa Ontario Canada; his great grandson Jason Archer & wife Dani & great, great grandsons Brodee & Ledger Archer also of Moses Lake, WA.; two brothers, Paul & CC of Seatac, WA & Jim & his wife Jen of Moses Lake & numerous nieces & nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ann & two brothers, Robert & Richard.

He requested there be no service & all family & friends “tip one” & think of him.
