Ned Lawrence Holes

| June 22, 2010 2:00 PM

Born July 24, 1951 Died suddenly and unexpectedly June 14, 2010.

Ned was born a twin to a sister Nancy. He also had three older brothers (Paul, Jason and Andy) and later was blessed with two younger sisters (Nadine and Peggy). Ned had all his schooling in Moses Lake and it was there that he made many lifetime friends. The stories of times with those he met during those years are legends that have often been repeated. Ned was a tall rather slender man his face usually carried a full beard and brilliant smile. His was dressed quite casually and did not worry about the latest styles. He was most often accompanied by an adoring dog. If you were not able to read kindness in his face you could definitely read it in his actions. Many times he would just show up at the right time to help a friend in need. There are numerous stories of his inventive mechanical escapades. Although his help may not have been rendered the most conventional way it leant for more memorable experiences and the recipients of his kind actions felt his care was for the individual and not for a pat on his own back. Ned was well known for his barbecues that usually included a whole animal the type of which was often a story of its own. This year Ned moved in and cared for his 94 year old father. Ned loved the outdoors, farming, working on cars and inventing creative solutions for problems. He was loved and cherished by his children Sean, Sandy, Bobby, Jake, his wife Sherry, brothers and sisters, father and many friends.

A barbeque was held in Ned’s honor on Thursday, June 17th with many friends and and family in attendance to memorialize him.
