HISPANIC ISSUES

| January 21, 2010 8:00 PM

In response to a letter written by Tabitha Bevens and published in the Daily Herald on 01-7-10.

First of all Miss Bevens if you wish to speak on Hispanic issues please make sure you are speaking the truth and also state facts.

You are neither a taxpayer or a voter. You also find yourself in the Grant Co. Jail at this time. Also felons cannot vote.

I don’t feel that you are accurately informed regarding injustice in Grant Co. Courts. Every Hispanic here is well aware of the “high bails” set for everyone. All persons of different races can receive high bail. Depending on the crimes.

This is a large number of Hispanic inmate at this time at GC Jail. Yet I feel that we are intelligent people and we are well aware of the lengthy stays and “speedy trials.”

I also feel that you are not a Hispanic with any real knowledge regarding Hispanic issues.

So do not speak for us Hispanics. That letter you wrote made me feel like uneducated, ignorant Hispanic person.

We are far from that.
