PASCO — They may not have ended their regular season as well as they would have liked but Moses Lake High School will still take its 3-1 win against Chiawana last night.

“I thought we were pumped up to bowl but we didn’t perform consistently,” Moses Lake coach Billy Brice said. “We did get the win but we weren’t up to par going into district. They bowled consistently but consistently under average.”

The Chiefs (10-3, 8-3 in Big Nine) came out slow but managed to win the first regular game, 697-610.

However they did find a way to pick up their performance as they captured the second regular game, 791-614.

Angela Bravo led the way with a 188, while Ashlann Starkweather bowled a 183, and Brittany Ledbetter pitched in with a 162.

The hosts managed to get on the board with a 149-127 win in the first baker game to make things interesting.

“I called them out because they weren’t focused and we needed to win,” Brice said.

Moses Lake sealed the victory with a 175-145 win in the second baker game.

The Chiefs travel to Kennewick on Tuesday to take part in the four-team district meet with a state berth on the line. Moses Lake split with Kennewick this season.
