On behalf of the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team, I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff of the Columbia Basin Herald, as well as the citizens of Grant and Adams Counties, for making our recent fund-raiser a huge success. Thanks to the efforts of your staff, particularly Tom Hinde and Jenna Erickson, we were able to raise over $2,500.00 which will be used to upgrade our armored vehicles. Local businesses graciously donated items for the auction, and our citizens demonstrated great support for the team, and local law enforcement in general, by making generous bids on the items. Recent tragic events in our state are grim reminders of the dangers faced by law enforcement today. Thanks to the support of our community, the members of the MLTRT will be equipped with additional tools to make us safer in our duties.
