Ernest Jay Batten, 85, of Kennewick, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Chaplaincy House in Kennewick.

He served as Pastor in Granger for 5 yrs, Wapato for 3 yrs, Moses Lake for 13 yrs, Albany, OR for 9 yrs and Yakima for 12 yrs. He also served as District Superintendent for over 10 yrs.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Kennewick; daughter, Jan Fox of Kennewick; sons, Ernest Batten of Richmond, B.C. and Douglas Batten of Victoria, B.C.; sister, Enid Seibel of Moses Lake; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from Noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 10 at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan 11, 2010 at West Valley Missionary Church with concluding services at West Hills Memorial Park. To share a memory, visit www.mem.com
