Notice of SEPA Appeal and Public Hearing
REC Solar Grade Silicon is proposing a major subdivision to consolidate existing REC parcels into one lot of 203 acres and create one lot of 1.33 acres for a Grant County 5 fire station. Waivers and deferrals of street and utility improvements were also requested. The site is located at 3322 Road N, north of Wheeler Road and south of Road 4 in the Heavy Industrial Zone. A Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) was issued for the project on September 9, 2009. An appeal of the MDNS has been filed with the Community Development Department.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on both the SEPA appeal and the preliminary major plat application on February 11, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 411 Balsam Street. Interested parties are invited to attend and provide comment.
Written comments on this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Information related to this application is available for review at no charge at 321 Balsam Street. For more information, contact the Community Development Department at 766-4166.
