Murder victim's truck searched
EPHRATA — A warrant was used to search a Dodge pickup truck belonging to shooting victim Sage Munro, 35, Ephrata, on Tuesday.
The Washington State Patrol Crime Lab team conducted the search, said Police Chief Mike Warren. A team of six people were processing the truck for fingerprints.
“We had quite a crew,” he said.
The truck was being processed because the Dec. 29, shooting happened near the vehicle, Warren said. When asked if someone was attempting to steal the truck, he said no.
A .45-caliber casing was found in the front yard of the victim’s home, he said.
Detectives continue to conduct interviews with people of interest, Warren said. So far, there are no suspects.
Police reported Munro was shot outside his home. He apparently entered his home, where he was found dead on the living room floor.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Juan Rodriguez at 509-766-9230.
