MOSES LAKE — The New Years Eve Buckin' Blowout saw rodeo fans pack the Kenny Ardell Pavilion to watch the rodeo action and celebrate another New Years Eve together with their families.
Little kids raced to stomp balloons and the older kids tried their hardest to capture a chicken in the popular Chicken Scramble.
Judy Warnick and her partner Bill Bailey proved to be champions this year in the Businessmen’s Donkey Roping, taking home a beautiful buckle and the bragging rights to being the best Donkey Rider in the Basin.
Local cowboys fared well in the rough stock events.
Jacob Stacy of Soap Lake took home second place in the Saddle Bronc Riding with a score of 75 on McMillan Rodeos horse, Supremo.
Jeff Cobb of Ephrata also took home second place in the Bareback riding his horse, Rez Boy and Aaron Hammer, a new face to the Basin, split third and fourth in the bull riding event on the bull, Savage 7.
