Grant County deputy killed in one-car crash

QUINCY (AP) — Authorities say a Grant County Sheriff’s deputy has been killed in a one-vehicle car crash.

The sheriff’s office says the crash occurred Sunday night in the Quincy area.

Grant County Emergency Services spokesman Kyle Foreman says the deputy was on routine patrol when the accident occurred about 10 miles southeast of Quincy, and 12 miles south of Ephrata.

The Washington State Patrol carried out a collision report at the scene at State road 283 and Road No. 5 NW.

The agencies did not release the deputy’s name or provide other details of the crash.
