Moses Lake pharmacist thanks patrons

MOSES LAKE — On behalf of the entire staff of the Moses Lake Food Pavilion Pharmacy (now closed), I would like to use this medium to express my sincere appreciation to all of the medical providers in Grant County. But most importantly, my gratitude goes out to all of our most valuable supporters (our customers) for the patronage and support we’ve enjoyed over the years. Without all of you folks, we would not have had the kind of success we had.

I thought about picking up the telephone and calling each of you personally to express my appreciation, but that would have taken me a long time to accomplish since there are so many people on my list to thank. I also wanted to write a personalized letter to every individual person who had made our services at Food Pavilion Pharmacy second to none, but I was afraid of leaving anybody out. Since the Columbia Basin Herald is a widely read newspaper in Grant County, I decided to employ this medium.

It was not the decision of the staff to close Food Pavilion Pharmacy in Moses Lake, it was a business decision made by the Markets LLC, the parent company of Food Pavilion. Left to the pharmacy staff, we would still be doing what we do best, which is serving our customers with a smile and dignity. We take pride in our customers, and we treat them with respect which they all deserve, regardless of their background.

Personally, I have been a Moses Lake resident since August of 1990 (almost 20 years), and I have had the privilege and the opportunity to know several people in this community. I am sure that most people would agree with me that Moses Lake and the county of Grant as a whole is blessed with the best group of people in the world. As far as I am concerned, Moses Lake is a great place to live and to raise a family. I cannot imagine myself living anywhere else. It goes beyond saying that I will miss the pharmacy customers at Food Pavilion, but I do believe that I will be coming across most of you again in my activities of daily living and in my new place of work.

I wish there were more effective words to express my sincere appreciation to all of you other than to say think you, but since I cannot think of such words right now, please allow me to say thank you one more time for your patronage and your support over the years. I appreciate your willingness to give me the chance to serve as your pharmacist at Food Pavilion for 14 years.
