Various junior league baseball tryouts near

MOSES LAKE —  Baseball season is fast approaching and Moses Lake’s various league and teams for youngsters are readying for the beginning of the new season.

Tonight at the Moses Lake Batting Cages, the Moses Lake Babe Ruth league will host sign ups for players aged 13-15 years old from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

The cost is $65 per kid at sign up.

Also, Developmental Baseball teams will hold their tryouts for kids aged 13 and 14-years-old on March 6-7 at the Moses Lake High School baseball fields.

Sign ups for 13-year-olds (team name the Dune’s) will take place from 1 - 2:30 p.m. and then 14-year-olds (Crawdad’s) will follow from 3 - 4:30 p.m.

Teams will be selected and players contacted on Monday, March 8.

These teams will be put together by the Moses Lake High Coaching Staff, which will also be involved with coaching the squads when the high school season is completed.

Cost for participation will be $250 and includes the player’s t-shirt and hat.

Games begin at the end of March and tournaments will be included in the schedule.
