Five more players join Pirates for upcoming season

MOSES LAKE — With only a little over three months left before the beginning of the Moses Lake Pirates’ fifth season, the organization announced Monday the signing of five more players for the 2010 campaign.

Ryan Dunn, a freshman left hand pitcher from Chino Hills, Calif, Ray Palafox, a freshman shortstop from Burbank, Calif., and Jordan Whitman, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Cypress, Calif., will all join the Pirates from Cal Poly (Pomona) University this coming summer. 

Cal Poly Pomona is a representative of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) at the NCAA Division II level.

Also two players from Pomona-Pitzer College  will be members of the Pirates this season.

Nick Frederick, a junior first baseman from Arlington, Va., and Leo Rosetti, a sophomore righthanded pitcher from Pacific Palisades, Calif., will be Pirates this summer.

Pomona-Pitzer College Sagehens play in the Southern California Intercollegiate Althletic Concerence (SCIAC) as a Division III NCAA team.
