Twyla R. Bernhardt

Twyla R. Bernhardt, 85, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Samaritan Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 1, 2010 at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories with Pastor Deverett Butrick officiating. Private family interment preceded at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L N.E., Moses Lake. Twyla was born on June 23, 1924 in Wilford, Idaho, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Margaret (Gettman) Trupp. She was married to Adolph Conrad Bernhardt November 5, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The couple moved to Warden in the 1955 where they farmed until 1967. At that time they moved to Moses Lake where they have lived since.

Twyla loved her Lord Jesus, her family and her garden.

She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Jim Gold, Hoquiam, WA and Melanie and Gary Harmon, Moses Lake; one brother, Donald Trupp, New Dale, Idaho; 3 grandsons and 1 daughter-in-law, Leslie Allan Gold, Hoquiam, James Conrad Gold, Hoquiam, and Brian Conrad and Clara Harmon, Ephrata; one great grandson, Ayden Brodie Harmon, Ephrata.

Besides her parents and husband, Adolph Conrad Bernhardt, Twyla was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
