Donald Leslie Woodall
Don Woodall was born in Ephrata Washington, to Benjamin and Edna Woodall. Don had two older brothers James Woodall and Jeff Woodall. The family farm was on Sage Brush Flats. Don attended school at Ephrata Elementary as well as Ephrata High School. Don served in the United States Navy, and was a Veteran of World War II. After Don was discharged he completed his High School education and graduated in 1947 from Bonners Ferry High School in Idaho. Don met his lifelong sweetheart Rita Vivian Baird of Palisades Washington. The two were married on November 7, 1947. Don and Rita enjoyed family life with their two children Teresa O’Sullivan and Howard Woodall. They socialized with friends from Ephrata and the surrounding area. Don and Rita were members of the Two Springs Grange, where Don served at Master in 1958.Don was involved in the Moses Cooley Water Conservation Project. Don & Rita’s other interest were boating and raising registered Quarter Horses. Don and Rita later moved to Pendleton Oregon where they owned and operated the Country Cobbler Boot Repair Shop. Don & Rita retired and moved to La Grande Oregon in 1991 where they lived for many years. They then moved to Nampa Idaho in 2009 to be closer to their children. Don is survived by his wife Rita Woodall, daughter Teresa O’Sullivan, son Howard Woodall, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Don lived a blessed life and will be missed by many.
