Othello Chamber accepts nominations for awards

OTHELLO — The Greater Othello Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for people of the year for 2010 in several categories.

The categories include Citizen of the Year, Teacher of the Year for grades K through six, Business of the Year, Teacher of the Year seventh grade through grade 12 and Civil Servant of the Year. The chamber reports few nominations for Business of the Year and encourages people to nominate worthy businesses.

The forms and tickets for the annual banquet are available at several places in Othello including the chamber office, Old Hotel Art Gallery, First Choice Realty, Sterling Savings Bank and Hats and Roses.

The forms must be returned by Wednesday to the chamber office located at 33 E. Larch St.

To fill out of form, simply write the name of the person or business being nominated and write a reason they should be selected along with their accomplishments, community service or other validating qualities.
