Patricia (Patti) Lee (Casey) Schauer

Patti Schauer, a 74 year old Spokane resident passed away Monday, February 8th at the Hospice of Spokane Hospice House after a long battle with cancer.  Patti was born in Billings, MT on December 31, 1935 to Lincoln and Josephine Casey.  Born into a musical family, Patti, like her father Lin,  was an organist for church and social events in and around  Moses Lake, WA.  A bookkeeper by trade, Patti met and married Lt. Col. Raymond Schauer (deceased in 1999) in 1960 when he was a captain and pilot in the Air Force.  Over the years they lived in England, Tacoma and Spokane respectively.

She is  survived by two sons, Scott Schauer and wife Lisa and their daughter, Kaylee Rae of Bend, OR and Nick Schauer and his wife, Mary and their children Victoria and Joseph of Spokane, 2 brothers, Lincoln Casey of Spokane and Jerry and Sue Casey of Seattle and sister, Mickey and Monte DeChenne of Spokane and numerous nieces and nephews.  Patti also had a sister, Sally who passed away in 1962.

Patti battled cancer for many years.  She shared the last 7 years with her close friend, Roger Palmberg traveling to Hawaii, China, Europe and Mexico.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 16th at 10:00 am in Spokane, WA.  Internment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane.
