Bud Clary is ready to repair Toyotas
MOSES LAKE — If you live anywhere within 100 miles or so of Moses Lake and are wondering whether your Toyota has a gas pedal problem, give Steve Styren, owner of Bud Clary Toyota of Moses Lake call.
He is eager to help.
“The safety of Toyota owners and the safety of their families is my concern,” Styren said. “I understand and I care.”
Styren can field questions about possible braking problems with the Toyota Prius hybrid. The Toyota company announced a voluntary recall of thousands of Priuses on Tuesday, because of brakes.
“Any Prius or Lexus owners who have a concern, we’ll take their calls too,” Styren said.
Of the 70 Toyota units at Styren’s lot last week, 23 had a gas pedal issue, Styren said. Those problems will be corrected before the cars are put out for sale.
As for Toyotas sold by Styren, not all of them are on the recall list. But he will accept calls from any Toyota owner who is wondering about his or her car.
“I understand the concern, and I’m going above and beyond. I’m going to get them in here and take care of them. I’ll do whatever it takes,” Styren said.
Toyota models involved in the recall are the Corolla, the Camry, the Highlander and the RAV4 from various recent years. If you own a Toyota and have a question, just pick up the phone and call Bud Clary Toyota of Moses Lake.
“I am calling all of the people who bought a Toyota from me, but if they haven’t heard from me, then they should not hesitate to call me,” Styren added.
Styren said the Toyota Company has sent out letters to all owners of recalled vehicles. If Toyota owners who live elsewhere in Central Washington find it easier to come to Moses Lake, Styren will take care of their needs. The sooner he hears from Toyota owners, the sooner he will be able to make sure all of the parts are on hand.
“I’m trying to be proactive with the community of Moses Lake, but I need help,” Styren said. “They need to call me if I haven’t called them.”
