Mary E. Oakley

Mary E. Oakley passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2009 at Hospice House in Spokane.

Mary was born in 1935 to Benjamin and Rebecca (Blakely) McKim and is survived by three sisters; Louise Hickey and Barbara Nolan, both of Florida, and Mae Anderson of New York; one brother; Wilbur McKim of Florida, two sister-in-laws; Verle Johnson of Missoula, MT and Donna Allen of North Pole, AK as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband Gene, her parents, four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Mary was raised in Louisville, KY. She later moved west to Moses Lake, WA, where she worked and lived out the rest of her life. She made frequent trips to Florida to see her family.

Mary and Eugene Oakley were married in 1966. They owned and operated Superior TV Services Center in Moses Lake. She was devoted to her family and co-workers at the Moses Lake Police Department where she enjoyed volunteering.  She was devoted to her long time friends and caregivers; Mary Kile, OraLee Hunter, Dennis Davis and beloved dog Beanie.

In the spring, memorial services will be held beside her husband in Superior, MT. Chuck Haney will officiate.
