Ruth Virginia Waldher Stalsberg

Ruth Virginia Waldher Stalsberg, 90, of Ephrata, Wa. passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at McKay Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Soap Lake, Wa.

She was born on March 4, 1919 in Pomeroy, Wa. to Louis and Rose Waldher.

She married Ralph O. Stalsberg on May 27, 1950.

Ruthie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her family. She always added humor and spark to conversations, and never left home without looking like a million bucks! Her hobbies included bridge and gardening.

Ruthie worked for AT&T for 10 years and was active in the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ralph; a son, Lon and wife Cyndy of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Sandy Huntington of Ephrata, five grandchildren, Angela and husband Paul, Christ and wife Elizabeth, Kyle, Matt and wife Melissa, and Kate; four great grandchildren, Danelle, Michael, Alyssa and Samuel; a sister-in-law, Barbara Stalsberg; two nephews, Roy and wife Debbie Stalsberg and Norman and wife Denise Stalsberg; and two nieces, Laura and husband Skip Spencer and Melissa Stalsberg.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Vince, Gale and Eugene; and a sister, Cecile Caldwell.

A special thanks goes to her daughter, Sandy, for all the love and care she provided for her mother, and to the special staff at McKay Healthcare.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. A reception will follow at the Parish Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKay Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Soap Lake.

Her star will shine brightly.
