Armed robbery reported at Ephrata intersection

EPHRATA — An armed robbery was reported at the intersection of state Route 282 and Basin Street Friday night.

A male told police while he was in his vehicle at the intersection waiting for the light to change, a teenage male approached his vehicle and knocked on the window, Ephrata police reported. Upon contact, the teen reportedly put a knife to the male’s throat and demanded his wallet.

There were no witnesses and no further suspect information.
