MOSES LAKE — “In the Mood” is returning to Big Bend’s Wallenstien Theater Tuesday.

The music revue, featuring big band music from the 1940s, starts at 7:30 p.m. at the theater, located at 7662 Chanute Street in Moses Lake. Tickets cost $29.50 and are available at The Bookery in Ephrata, Andrew’s Hallmark in Moses Lake and the Big Bend Bookstore.

The show features the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters and Frank Sinatra, according to the Columbia Basin Allied Arts, which is sponsoring the show’s return. The company of 19 performers will play 42 songs.

The show came to the college last February and has added 18 new songs this year.

“‘In the Mood’ celebrates the music that moved the nation’s spirit and helped win a war,” the show’s organizer’s stated. “This was the last time when all of America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music.”
