MOSES LAKE – If there are wedding plans in your future or the future of a loved one, you may want to take in the 12th Annual Columbia Basin Bridal Show on Feb. 27 at the Moses Lake Events Center on E. Nelson Road.

“The theme for this year is ‘Something Old, Something New,” said organizer Janine Zietlow sales advertising manager for the Columbia Basin Herald.

The Bridal Show will be the focus of a special tabloid section in the Herald on Feb. 19. The tab will posted on the Herald’s Web site.

Zietlow expects as many as 100 brides-to-be and family members to attend. The show has been attended by as many as 1,000 people, depending on the year.

“The vendors love it,” Zietlow said. “They were waiting for my letter of announcement. They were anticipating way in advance. The economy shouldn’t be a problem. Weddings happen no matter what.”

“All of the vendors will have things for weddings,” Zietlow added. “There will be DJs. There will be photographers. There will be cake makers. You may even able to taste cake samples.”

The Columbia Basin Bridal Show will go from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Zietlow expects more than 30 vendors. There were 35 last year.

“Walmart in Ephrata called me just today (Jan. 28),” she said.

Vendors committed to the show so far include Ahmann’s Images, Ameristay, a Mary Kay rep, a Beauty Control rep, Nickle’s Photography, Kara’s Smile Lab, Pampered Chef, Colleen Donovan Photography, Moses Lake Rentals (equipment), Dawn’s Wedding Treasures, Smokehouse Grill, Desert Formal Wear, Element, Michael’s On The Lake, a Scensy (candles) rep, Jonda Spurbeck Photography and Safeway.

“There will be giveaways, contests and prizes, and brides will be able to register to win a free honeymoon,” Zietlow said.

Zietlow noted that Keith Bean will provide the tuxes for the 1 p.m. fashion show, and Dale Roth Productions will provide DJ music. She is still negotiating for a dress vendor.
