David Wesley Frick Sr.
David Wesley Frick Sr. passed away after a brief illness on December 27th, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held at Kaysers Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake on Friday, December 31st at 3:00 pm. Viewing will be held from 9 am to 2 pm on Friday, December 31st at Kayser's Chapel. He was born November 28, 1927 in Moody, WA to Fred and Bernardines Frick. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Marlin and graduated from Marlin High School in 1946. He graduated from Kinman Business University with an accounting degree and attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA before being called home to the family farm.
He served in the United States Army Infantry during the Korean War. He spent his lifetime farming in the Ruff, Marlin and Moses Lake areas. He served on the Grant County Mental Health Board from 1969-1992, was a Volunteer Firefighter for Grant County 5 for more than 35 years. He was also a member of the Grant County Crop Improvement Association.
David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary of Moses Lake, sons David Frick of Seattle and Fred Frick of Spokane and daughter Joanne Frick of Ravenna, OH, brother Don Frick of Odessa, sisters Lorraine Goetz, Allison Swartz, Phyllis Larsen and her husband Chris all of Spokane, sister in law Yvonne Boarts of State College, PA, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his step-mother Ida Frick and daughter Susan Frick. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Autism Speaks, Alzheimer's Association or Salem Lutheran Church in Marlin, WA or the charity of your choice.
