Marlis Jane Stermer, May 29,1935 to December 25,2010
Marlis Jane Stermer was born in Park Rapids, MN, to Howard and Gladys Ellestad.
As a young person she enjoyed singing at country fairs and family events with her brother Marvin, and having fun with her life-long friend Trudy.
Marlis is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Spike and Butch, Her first husband Herbert Wilkins, and her husband Milton Stermer.
Marlis enjoyed staying busy and worked for many years for her cousin Vernon Ellestad at Moses Lake Meats. She most recently worked as a greeter at Worksource. She enjoyed her vegetable garden and flowers, and was a caretaker for her parents in their later years as well as her husband Milton, and good friend Sandy Saunders.
She is survived by siblings; June Swisher, Marvin Ellestad, Dean Ellestad, Lois McNamara, and Joyce Fisher, Daughters; Laurie Cox (Greg), Sandra Faulkes, Karla Thomas (Greg), Grandchildren; Brandon Strait, Justin Grubb, William Blodgett, Brett Mayberry, Bryson Mayberry, and Kathleen Mayberry, as well as ten great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all for her warm and loving personality.

Services are scheduled for Friday, starting at 1 p.m., at Benson Funeral Services, located at 104 W. Fifth Ave., Moses Lake.
