MOSES LAKE - It didn't take long for the Moses Lake Chiefs bowling team to strike back and find their mojo once again.
Following a tough loss at Wenatchee on Tuesday, the Chiefs responded to their first loss of the year with a 4-0 thumping of Eisenhower last night at Lake Bowl.
Moses Lake (7-1) got things going with a strong showing in the match's first regular game, an 829-729 victory.
Senior Shanice Brice bowled a 219 while classmate Brittany Simpson continues her impressive play since being called up to the varsity, rolling a 191.
In the second regular game, both teams cooled off a bit, but the Chiefs captured a 763-610 win.
Brice bowled a 181 and senior Ashlann Starkweather threw a 171 game.
With a huge pin count advantage, head coach Billy Brice used some new bowlers for the baker games and the move turned up golden.
Moses Lake won the first baker, 182-131, and cruised to a 135-113 win in the second to finish off the sweep.
"The Chiefs are back to their winning ways," Billy Brice said. "The girls look pretty good now we are just going to work hard over the break and stay up on our game and see if we can't stay a little more consistent. We still have the up and down thing going on."
Moses Lake will not compete again until after the New Year's holiday.
