WENATCHEE - In the end the Wenatchee Panthers proved their point.

Having beaten the Moses Lake Chiefs bowling team in November at Lake Bowl, the Panthers would later find out they were to forfeit the match for using an ineligible player.

On Tuesday night, they set the record straight while knocking the Chiefs from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Behind a strong first regular game win, the Panthers rolled to a 4-0 win over Moses Lake (6-1, 4-1) and reclaim their edge on the Chiefs.

Wenatchee won the first game 825-804, taking advantage of a off game by Moses Lake senior Shanice Brice, who finished with a 159.

Brittany Ledbetter did come through with a personal best, 212, to keep Moses Lake in contention.

However, when the second regular game rolled around, the Chiefs couldn't keep pace with their hot bowling hosts.

Wenatchee recorded an 888-795 win and assumed control of the match.

"We picked it up, but so did Wenatchee," Moses Lake head coach Billy Brice said. "We were done after that."

Shanice Brice bounced back with a 198, while Crystal Balderas threw a 181 game and Ashlann Starkweather recorded a round of 167.

The Panthers clinched the win with a 179-171 win in the opening baker game and swept the match with a win in the following baker.

"We did get beat but the girls did show improvement," Billy Brice said. "If we can get those kinds of games from Brittany and Crystal together that would be big. It's a pretty good loss and we are still on pace for getting to the post season. We're looking pretty good and the girls are starting to feel it."
