YAKIMA - Denied.
A controversial ending kept the Othello Huskies from winning their second CWAC game of the year as they fell 65-64 in overtime Tuesday night at East Valley.
According to Othello head coach Pete Patitucci, his Huskies hit a shot that would have won the game in regulation but the officials ruled it in after the buzzer.
Othello (2-2, 1-2) led 22-12 after the first quarter and despite losing that lead had a chance to win in overtime but failed to score as their hosts ran out victors.
Caleb Garza led Othello with 17 points while Sam Para added 15 points, Drew Scott finished with 12 points and David Garza pumped in 11 points.
