Phyllis was born February 8, 1930 to Glenn and Meltha Snow in Dodge City, Kansas. Moving to Wapato Phyllis married Clifford Estes where they had four children. After Clifford’s death in 1963 Phyllis instilled in her children the value of hard work as she raised them without Public Assistance managing the Fort Restaurant in Wapato as well as picking fruit and any other work she could find. In 1970 Phyllis married the love of her life Gerald Delp and together they owned and operated a cherry and peach orchard. Gerald and Phyllis always played a mean game of pinochle but were best known for their love for dancing. And oh could they dance! They were always the first and last on the dance floor drawing awe for their ability to truly “kick up their heels.”

Phyllis’ life was about family and always found ways to gather together for laughter and love. Her garden was a constant work of art and she always knew the name of every flower and plant while making room for dozens of bird houses to attract every variety of bird. Phyllis also loved to collect dolls, meticulously making clothes for each of them. But if you knew Phyllis, you knew she lived to fish! Many talented fishermen found themselves skunked while they watched Phyllis quietly reel in fish after fish with her secret “red and white.”

In 1992 Phyllis moved to Ephrata to be closer to her family where she owned and operated Momma’s Corner. It was there she met her fishing, traveling and wonderful dear friend Jeannette Pohlman. As best friends they shared laughter, days on the lake and countless adventures. Phyllis spent the last 3 years of her life at Hearthstone Assisted Living enjoying bingo and her wonderful friend Bernice. Phyllis will be remembered most for being a wonderful mother and friend to all. Never did she see a need in others without quietly lending a hand. Phyllis never had or said a bad word about anyone. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her children Glenn of Stratford, Gail Davis and husband Stephen of San Carlos, Mexico, Candie Canfield and husband Dave of Moses Lake along with Step children Geraldine Cooper and husband Paul of Zillah and Gary Delp and wife Shannon of Yakima. Grand children Jeff Estes, Jennifer Estes Ellis, Michael Estes, Dustin Canfield and Tami Canfield Romig; great grandchildren Joshua, D.J., Nicholas, Maliki, Cheyenne, Zeriah, Griffin, Meadow and Payton.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her dear daughter Tammie, husband Gerald, granddaughter Kim, four siblings and best friend Vivian.
