MOSES LAKE - Country rock band Pure Prairie League entertained a crowd of about 350 on Saturday night.

The group played a mixture of rock tunes loaded with plenty of guitar riffs and added songs with a strong country twang.

Bill Burke welcomed the crowd and introduced the band.

"This a good show," he said. "It's going to be fun."

Burke said when you think about country rock, you think of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and Pure Prairie League, among others.

"They've been in the business for 41 years and have been touring around the country," Burke said.

Early in the set, the group played a medley of country music for the "cowgirls and cowboys out there" and then headed back into rock territory.

All the music got children up and dancing in front of the stage and kept the rest of the audience warm during the brisk night.
