Raymond Favors was born July 26, 1921, in Bethlehem, Texas to Amsee and Jimmie Favors. He was one of eight surviving children.

Raymond attended grade school in Bethlehem between helping on the family farm. As a young man he married and of that union one son was born. Soon after, he moved to Washington to take advantage of better opportunities for his family. He had many skills in the construction trade and worked throughout Washington and Alaska.

While on his journey Raymond met and married Virginia Brown and to that union they were blessed with four children. Their union lasted fifty-two years until the death of Virginia in 2000. During their marriage there was much laughter and even some tears. Raymond was known for his big smiles and could be heard on many occasions saying to his wife "Mama we can do this." And they proceeded to live out their dreams on their terms -together. He accomplished many things during his life including running a working farm in Auburn, as a construction masonry instructor at Big Ben College, and operating a recycling site in Toppenish, Washington. Later when they moved to Moses Lake, Washington, Raymond became a contractor and did masonry work until his retirement.

Raymond accepted Christ Jesus into his life as Lord and Savior. Raymond begun to hunger and thirst to know more about Jesus; then he opened his door to others to come and study with him. Raymond was baptized according to Matthews 28:
