ALBERT LIN

Reader disagrees with candidate’s logic

At the political forum in Ephrata each candidate was allowed five minutes to state their agenda. Angus Lee, the incumbent, running for Grant County prosecutor's office, spoke his five minutes. The challenger, Albert Lin, was not there. Consequently, a Ms. Chow read a statement on his behalf. It is assumed he was in Poulsbo, where he works. Now, what does that tell you?

In the Grant County Journal, Mr. Lin had an unrealistic comparison regarding his residency situation. He compared his to that of Washington State Senator Jenea Holmquist. Senator Holmquist represents District 13 and must live in said district, which she does. But, she must go to Olympia to conduct business. I don't understand his logic!

Mr. Lin also stated, "This residency question is just a dirty political ploy by Mr. Lee's supporters!" Please don't forget last year's campaign, one of the worst ever. And I can assure you, that if the residency situation were reversed - and Mr. Lee lived and worked in Vancouver - Mr. Lin and his crew would jump on it with both feet!

A while ago, on the front page of the Herald, there was an interesting article. Mr. Lin had filed a $25 million lawsuit against Grant County. This is just the person I want representing me as Grant County Prosecutor! Not! Certainly Mr. Lin doesn't have the people of Grant County as his main concern!
