Francisca Rodriguez Solis

Francisca Rodriguez Solis, 93, of Othello died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Francisca was born on April 12, 1917 in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. She met Ignacio Solis there and they married in 1931. She raised her family in Mexico, many of them moving to the United States to find work. In 1974 she moved to Othello to rejoin her children. She was very proud of the fact that in 1989 she became a U.S. Citizen. She was a homemaker and will be remembered as a grandmother to everybody. She was a perfectionist and liked everything clean, even her favorite color was white.

Francisca was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Juan and Angel. She is survived by nine children; Guadalupe Beliz of Corning, CA, Antonio Solis of Alviso, CA, Ignacio Solis, Isabel Briones and Olga Gonzalez all of Othello, Adela Solis of Walla Walla, Salvador Solis of Acuña, MX, Marie Cadengo of Othello, Francisca Zavalla of Mt. Vernon, WA and Latecia Solis of Othello, 45 grand children and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
