PUD ELECTION

| August 12, 2010 1:00 PM

Reader endorses Ron Baker

I endorse Ron Baker's common sense.

The PUD is going to be overdrawn by $15 million on their budget. All of the other candidates seem to be for raising costs to the customer by 7.5 percent.

Mr. Baker advocates cutting costs inside the PUD, and why not? There is a mandate to provide low-cost power to the county. To quote Mr. Baker, "The commission has a mandate to manage the district's policies and budget."

The voters need to know this, and these issues can be confusing. We are often influenced by thing about the write-ups in letters to the editor for the wrong reasons.

Ron Baker is an engineer and has the kind of common sense discipline to manage policies and budgets so well. I don't see how anyone could possibly consider anyone else for PUD commissioner.

Please read about Mr. Baker and compare. Please vote for him before we are paying for the mistakes the PUD has made in the past, that may continue if Mr. Baker is not vote in.

We will all pay for the mistakes of the PUD unless we vote for Ron Baker.
