QUINCY - A semitruck and a car collided on state Route 281, three miles south of Quincy, Tuesday morning.

Alejandro Perezbotello, 20, Quincy, was pulling out of a parking lot in a 1990 Buick Century when he collided with a southbound semitruck in the highway, the Washington State Patrol reported Tuesday. The collision caused the semitruck pulling two trailers to roll onto its side and partially block the roadway for three hours.

The semitruck was hauling empty apple bins that spilled into a nearby corn field.

Perezbotello was airlifted to Central Washington Hospital for treatment to a reported broken left leg, broken left arm and knee laceration, the state patrol advised. He was cited for no valid driver's license and for failure to yield the right of way.

Randall J. Blaufuss, 51, East Wenatchee, was driving the semitruck. He did not report any injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
