MOSES LAKE — A Soap Lake man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a group of people on Hawthorne Drive in Moses Lake Wednesday night.

Norberto Solario, 19, was arrested for assault in the first degree and a firearm use violation, said Capt. Dave Ruffin on Thursday.

Solario reportedly pointed a 22 caliber revolver at a group of people standing outside a residence, he explained.

It was unclear if Solario was inside a vehicle or not, because the initial police report was not yet complete.

The revolver was not fired and there were no injuries.

Moses Lake police and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and arrested Solario. A 1998 Plymouth Breeze he was sitting in was impounded as evidence, Ruffin said. A search warrant to enter the vehicle was pending Thursday.

He explained the incident does not appear to be gang-related. None of the victims have gang affiliation, Ruffin added. It is unclear why Solario allegedly pointed the revolver at the subjects.
