Woodrow J. Callahan

Woodrow J. Callahan, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home surrounded by family and loved at the age of 69.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Moses Lake Eagles Lodge. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com

He was born to Woodrow and Ona Callahan in Vale, Oregon on September 17, 1940.

Woody (Bud) was a life-long resident of Moses Lake. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1963, when he was honorably discharged. Bud tried many occupations including a police officer, vacuum salesperson and service station manager before settling on an auto diesel mechanic. He was an auto diesel mechanic for more than forty years, serving many people in need of auto care. Bud had also driven for DSHS.

Among Bud’s interests were a love for camping with his family, bowling, motor cycle riding, hunting and socializing. He was an avid Eagle’s Lodge member and enjoyed the respect of all the members. Bud had a very large loving family that will miss him dearly.

He was married to Penny Callahan for more than 36 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Eric, Tricia, Lex and Duane; sisters and brothers, Mary, Darlene Wayne, Loraine and Noel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sonja and sisters, Carolyn and Beverly.

With many other loved family members, forever loved and never forgotten.
