EPHRATA — The Moses Lake-based Lazy Pig BBQ now has a Ephrata location along state Route 282, across from Walmart.

“We were getting a lot of people asking us if there was a chance we would do something there,” said Matt Stinnett, a co-owner of the business.

“The different kinds of food there were limited. We thought we would try it, so people wouldn’t have to drive all the way to Moses Lake for the same menu.”

The business’s Moses Lake location opened in December.

This weekend, the business starts a $12 special to last through May, which includes two pulled pork sandwiches with two side dishes.

The choice of side dishes are coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni salad and potato salad.

Also at the Ephrata location, Stinnett continues the Trail’s End Swap Meet on Saturday and Sunday.

The swap meet had previously been operated by the man leasing the property to Stinnett.

This year, the swap meet lasts from this weekend until the middle of October.

He described the swap meet as a flea market, in which people pay a fee to sell their items.

“People bring everything from yard sale stuff to craft items,” he said. “I have guys coming, who will bring blankets and DVDs.”

“They had quite a few people show up in the weekends,” he said. “In the summer, vendors show up and sell fruits and vegetables and watermelons.”

The Lazy Pig BBQ’s hours in Ephrata are Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
