Moses Lake teen shot in the foot

MOSES LAKE — A 15-year-old Moses Lake male was shot in the foot on Parkway Drive in Moses Lake Saturday night.

Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Parkway Drive and discovered the wounded teen.

A suspect or suspects fired gunshots toward people standing outside the residence, police reported Monday. No one else was injured.

“The victim was treated and released at Samaritan Hospital,” police Capt. Dave Ruffin explained. “The suspects fled the scene in an unknown type of vehicle. Based on the in initial information at the scene, this shooting appears to be gang-related.”

The investigation is on-going. Ruffin said police are optimistic about the investigation.
