MOSES LAKE — With other regional stores, the Moses Lake Lowe’s and its customers helped raise $35,717 in Shamrocks Against Dystrophy donations.

This year’s total was $7,797 higher than last year’s proceeds, according to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

The retailer netted $5.3 million nationwide. The funds are used to finance the muscular dystrophy research and services programs.

“MDA is very honored to have the support of such a fantastic company as Lowe’s, as well as the generosity of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho citizens, in the fight to find cures for muscular dystrophy and related diseases,” stated Darcey Allen, of MDA. “We’re continually in awe of Lowe’s and their customers’ giving spirit.”
