CB United girls in state cup

On Saturday the CB United 95 Lee girls’ U-14 soccer team played host to Eastside FC 95 at Lions Field and came away with a 2-2 draw with the defending state champions.

Currently, Eastside FV 95 Red is the No. 1 ranked team in the state.

The squad followed up that draw with a 3-0 win over River City in Spokane the following day.

The victory secured CB United with a spot in the elimination round of the Washington Championship Cup.

Against Eastside, CB United rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit with goals by Dani Crawford and Haley Berryman, who tied the game with just two minutes remaining.

The squad will travel to Vancouver, Washington for an elimination round game this Saturday,

The winner advances to the United States Youth Soccer Region IV (Far West Regional) Championships and ultimately the United States Youth Soccer National Championships.

The 2010 Far West Regionals are in Bernalillo, New Mexico.
