MOSES LAKE — An account was established at Horizon Credit Union to assist Bill Howell’s family with expenses related to his recent spinal injury and hospitalization.

Howell, of Moses Lake, was reportedly injured while operating a Gradall for the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District, said family friend, Robin Seibold, of Moses Lake.

The machine allegedly rolled over, ejecting Howell from the cab, she said.

At this point, he appears to have severe paralysis, Seibold explained.

He is hospitalized at Sacred Heart Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit in Spokane and on a ventilator, she said.

“I think all the friends and family would love for people to say lots of prayers for them, she said.

To help, financial contributions are being accepted  at Horizon Credit Union, located at 800 N. Stratford Rd., Moses Lake.

The account is in the name of his wife, Heidi Howell.

Benefits are also planned from May 13-15.

All events are at Ram’s Ripple Tavern, located at 518 E. Wheeler Rd., Moses Lake.

“This was their place to go,” Seibold says.

The benefits are: May 13, a dart and pool tournament, May 14, a silent auction and dance and on May 15, a car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lot of the business.

Times for the May 13 and May 14 events are still being finalized.

Donations are being accepted for the auction.
