| April 8, 2010 9:00 PM

Walter Shannon Weaver died March 15th at his home in Spokane.

Shannon “Flash” Weaver was born to Walter McDonald Weaver and Josephine (Ferguson) Weaver in Bellevue, Washington. He attended elementary school in Warden, Washington, and high school in Lind, Washington. He graduated Spokane Falls Community College with an AA degree and later attended Eastern Washington University where he studied environmental sciences. He worked for Franz Farms Ltd. in Lind for a short time before taking a position at Hanford monitoring weather stations. He also worked for a nursery near Moses Lake and drove truck for Swift for a number of years. No matter how busy he was, he always had time to look after his father in his later years. His love of the outdoors, especially waterfowl hunting, kept him busy over the years. He raised many good chocolate labs that served him well as hunting partners.

In 2009, Shannon married the love of his life, Tina, and they were just beginning their new lives together.

Shannon will be missed by many who knew him for his humor, his support, his friendship, and his love.

On Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m., there will be an informal gathering of family and friends at 805 Edgewater in Moses Lake, Washington. For details, please call his brother Reid at 425-308-2681.
