I, Linda Toscano, have been coming to court since March 30, 2009 for charges that were brought against my person. I’m a disabled mother for over twenty-five years. Being ill and taking my son to doctors appointments an emotional stressed over sons sentencing March 1, 2010. Apparently I had court on the second that I wasn’t aware of and a bench warrant was sent for my arrest. For months I’ve sat in court and heard other cases. Others that don’t appear for court and no warrant issued. Why is this? Do certain people get special treatment? Well I didn’t have to be hunted down. From the moment I was told I had a warrant I tried to surrender myself to the jail. Had to wait until the weekend for warrant to be issued. During my whole time of incarceration I was very ill. Because of the weekend there’s no nurse or doctor available. Who makes determination if one is ill enough to seek medical attention? Who is responsible for any injuries an inmate may suffer of an illness that could worsen during incarceration. I wish to thank my cell inmates for helping me through my time in need.
