CITY APPEARANCE
Thanks to the letter from Linda Paul regarding out town’s appearance to the west, I was encouraged to write in support of her comments. I commend the city park department for the great job in making Blue Heron Park a place so useful and beautiful.
Thanks to the letter from Linda Paul regarding out town’s appearance to the west, I was encouraged to write in support of her comments. I commend the city park department for the great job in making Blue Heron Park a place so useful and beautiful. It’s a great approach to our city. As we drive into town the west via Broadway, many businesses welcome us with well-kept fronts. Then Larson Field, one fire station, pre-fab home businesses, new grocery store and recycling plant are all assets to our town. Then comes the change! It looks like a city dump! Can anyone bring old appliances and cars or parts of cars and leave them there? Do the owners have a “special” zoning to allow this mess? Our city has been so particular as to even notify businesses along Broadway to “sweep off their sidewalks” in the past. Could the city require the folks with this unsightly facility to move it, or “sweep it off”? I made a visit to City Hall, asking about this monstrosity. I was told the city had sent them a letter. Let’s hear from others about this issue.
