CONNELLY PARK

| September 30, 2009 9:00 PM

I have been fishing out of Connelly Park/Airmen’s Beach since 1961.

In the past couple of years, since new boar members and ne manager Curt Carpenter have taken over control of the park, they seem to open and close it at their own will.

The park is controlled by the Grant County irrigation district. The park is under the control of Mr. Carpenter.

Once again they have closed to park, claiming it due to wind damage three weeks ago, and end up closing it for the season.

The park is a public park turned over to the irrigation district by the U.S. military.

Our tax money goes to support the park.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel we all have a right to use the park from spring to fall, fall being one of the best times of the year for fishing and hunting.

Write a letter or give the board members a call if you feel the same way.
