Ione M. Clark

Ione M. Clark, “Mom” to many of us, and a friend to all who knew her, went to be with our Lord and Savior and numerous family members on May 26, 2009.

Born on August 23, 1927 in Arco, Minnesota, Mom came through the Great Depression of the 30’s. She told of having only potatoes and gravy to eat and the food rationing that went on during those years.

The family migrated west in the early 1940’s. Mom worked at Galena during WWII, which is now Fairchild Air Force Base.

She married Charles Wheeler in 1946 and had 3 sons: Don, Larry and Jerry Wheeler all of Washington state.

She married Norman Clark in 1961 and 2 had daughters. Norma Good of Montana and Tamie Acevado of Washington.

Ione was preceded in death by father John Hanson, mother Hilda Hanson, brothers Donald & Samuel Hanson, sister Verona Moore, granddaughter Dollie Wheeler and numerous other family members who were awaiting her arrival home to Heaven.

Along with her children she leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous other ?family members and many friends.

God Speed Mom, we know that when you arrived home; “Job well-done daughter” was the words you heard from Our Father. We love you and so long for now! Your loving family and friends.

Celebration of life services will take place at 12:00 noon, on Monday, Sept. 7, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, 1517 W. Broadway, Moses Lake.
