MOSES LAKE CITY COUNCIL

I am writing this letter to support Ron Covey as a candidate for city council position number 2. Ron has been on the council for 14 years. He is a hard worker. He is present and active in promoting our city and its citizens. He is active in economic development planning for the future as well as the day to day specifics of city government. As mayor and long-term council member he has an excellent understanding of all the city departments and their respective staffs.

When I needed Ron’s help to promote Moses Lake to a diverse group of business leaders from other countries and cultures on a Sunday summer afternoon, he went out of his way to be present and made a great presentation with specific facts and figures that showed his in-depth knowledge of the city and its possibilities for the group. He was personable and very well received and obviously believed in what he was saying. Ron is a tireless advocate for us and our city and region.

I am frequently at city council meetings and appreciate the professional way the numerous agenda items are coordinated and facilitated in their discussion, evaluation and disposition. I am impressed with the respectful and fair treatment that both sides of issues receive from the council and Ron in particular.

I am convinced and I hope that you are too that Ron is a valuable resource for all of our citizens, the city and region. He has my support and I hope he has yours. We need his continued presence on the council.
