| October 27, 2009 9:00 PM

MOSES LAKE — A $1,200 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects involved with breaking windows in Moses Lake.

The Moses Lake Police Department offers $500 of the reward and the remainder is offered from local business owners affected by the vandalism, stated Moses Lake police Chief Dean Mitchell. Recently the reward was increased from $1,000 to $1,200.

“Over the past two months, Moses Lake police have investigated numerous glass breakages incurred by BB guns,” he explained. “The majority of window breakages have occurred in the downtown area. However, vehicles have been targets in residential areas. Property damage has been in the thousands.”

Police continue to provide extra patrols in affected areas, Mitchell stated.

Anyone with information about the vandalism can contact the police department at 509-766-9230. Callers can remain anonymous.
