Daniel was born in New Albany, MS. on July 4, 1918 to Webster and Ida Gertrude Thomas. He served in the Navy during WWII, after which he moved his family to Spokane, WA. where he was a general contractor and real estate developer for 45 years.

He moved to Warden WA. in 1982 when he purchased Sage Hill Golf Course (formerly Warden Golf Course). Later he built a 9 hole golf course called South Campus Golf (currently Hylander Greens) in Moses Lake. He served as a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was very active in Moses Lake and the Warden community. Dan loved golfing, fishing, and hunting, but mostly enjoyed being around his family and spending time with friends.

Dan will be dearly missed by his survivors - his lovely wife, Dorothy Thomas of 71 years; two daughters Ann and Jim Smith and Ida and Russ Horn; grandsons Bob, Jim, Scott, Blaine and Chris; granddaughters, Wendy, Deanna and Lora and great grandchildren Jeremy, Chad, Carl, Jamie, Justin, Wilson, Charity, Melony, Katie, Trisha, and Danny Sue, and Reagan and nine great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, RK Thomas, Spokane WA. and Pete Thomas of Warden WA. and a sister Louise Lazorik of Spokane WA.

Preceded in death by daughter Barbara Pabst, grandson Justin Lesser and two brothers Charles and Buel Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Central Basin Home Health and Hospice of Moses Lake. A special thank you to their staff for their compassion and service . We also would like to thank Kayer’s Chapel of Memories.
